Enhancement of environmental protection measures in the oil/gas industry of Central Asia

The purposes of this contract is to reduce the environmental impact of activities within the oil & gas sector through promotion of an appropriate changes in the relevant environmental legislations and implementation of sustainable environmental improvement projects within beneficiary countries taking account of the potential to attract project finance from International Finance Institutions (IFIs), oil and gas developers (both international operators and nationalised companies), and the Clean Development Mechanism / Joint Implementation initiatives within the Kyoto protocol or other emission trading schemes.
