The subject matter of this procurement is the provision of assistance in the maintenance, support and development of Data Warehouse to the EIB Group. It covers the maintenance, support and development of Operational Data Warehouse, Administrative Warehouse and reporting at the EIB Group while keeping up-to- date with the technological improvements and developments at the EIB Group.
The Bank expects that it will require maintenance, support and development services (and related takeover and handover services) in 2 different modes of operation:
— continuous services: longer term assignments of fixed duration on a time and materials basis. Continuous services will typically cover ongoing maintenance and support: handling day-to-day problems; implementing
patches or upgrades containing bug fixes or enhancements, and in limited cases, participation in development and implementation projects,
— discrete services: shorter-term assignments of fixed duration, on a time and materials basis, or on a fixed cost basis to provide specific deliverables for which the workload can be estimated with reasonable accuracy.
Discrete services will typically cover implementation of a new solution or developments comprising evolutionary maintenance in excess of 2 man-weeks (approximately).
