Scope of Contract: Consulting Services for Supervision of Rehabilitation Works including Environmental and Social Safeguard Monitoring on RS/WB/EIB Sections under RRSP
 The objective of supervision services is to ensure (i) that works, materials, equipment and workmanship are in compliance with the required standards, (ii) that works are planned in an orderly manner and completed in due time, (iii) that the recommendations of the EMP and/or Environmental Protection Designs (for each section under the works) and Contractor's Environmental Protection Plan including health and safety are properly followed during Project implementation, and (iv) that the provisions of the Resettlement Policy Framework (RPF) are properly followed during the Project implementation.
 In general, the Services shall include:
(a) supervision of contractors' performance in all aspects of fulfillment of their obligations, responsibilities and undertakings with respect to carrying out and timely completion of the contracts;
(b) supervision of implementation of provisions of EMP and EIA during the work execution, as well as assurance of compliance with traffic safety recommendations and requirements in all phases of the works execution;
(c) supervision of implementation of the provisions of the RPF during the work execution;
(d) administration of the contracts including the preparation of all documents, and particularly of technical and financial and progress documentation of importance for execution of the works contracts and decision making which is to be submitted either to the Client or the Banks;
(e) Acceptance and/or approval of Contractors' programs, construction techniques and materials;
(f) establishment of supervision methodology and system that may be adopted as a standard for employment on future projects;
(g) carrying out of any and/or all duties of the authorized Client's representatives, including their associated duties towards the Client and the banks, if the Client delegates such duties and responsibilities to the Consultant;
(h) transfer of experience and knowledge to the Client in fields of management of road rehabilitation, contract management, innovations in road technology, and other fields relevant to the Project; and
(i) provision of necessary evidentiary records and analyses and bearing expert witness to defense of the Client's case if any disputative issues arise from the Project.
