Project Description:

The overall objective of the Government of St Kitts and Nevis is to develop a diversified, competitive and environmentally sound tourism product through the assessment of the viability of the small hotel sector in a changing global economic environment. The specific objective of the consultancy is to provide an in-depth analysis of the small hotel sector and make recommendations for sustainable growth within the sector. Main services were: i) assessment of the economy trend; ii) identification of inefficiencies in the business model; iii) SWOT analysis; iv) business plans for the sector; v) marketing strategy; vi) use of green and alternate energy sources as a means of reducing operating costs; and vii) impact of governmental assistance
