Description:

eGEP has been the first EC financed ground breaking study going beyond the benchmarking of services available online and aiming at the measurement of concrete impacts and outcomes.

The study comprised three main streams of work: a) Expenditure study: Identified and analysed the costs of setting-up, providing and maintaining eGovernment services in the European Union; b) Measurement Framework: provided a measurement framework with indicators and implementation methodology to assess the impact and performance of eGovernment services; c) Economic Model: elaborated and tested an econometric model of the impact of eGovernment on economic growth.

The study forms part of earlier research conducted by Open Evidence staff.
