Description: The oberall objectives of these activities are as follows:
- Enhace the quality of media coverage of the 2010 local and parliamentary elections;
- Empower independent media to play an effective monitoring role;
- Enhace public access to accurate, reliable, objective information on electoral laws, procedures and regulations; and
- Develop journalists' knowledge of social, political and economic aspects of te election process, as well as their capacity to disseminate such information and engage the public in open debates around such issues.
