Brief Project Description: “Kafkas University Medical Faculty Morphology Building” awarded as 15.000 m2 was designed as 15.268 m2 of total area.
Morphology Building of Kars Kafkas University consists of basically four main blocks. A Block is planned as Deanship Building including lounge + exhibition hall and conference hall in the basement and the offices belonging Deanship in the first floor. B block is planned as basement and 3 floors including Directorate Departments including Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, etc. and Institute of Medical Sciences. C Block consists of two floors in which cafe, lecture halls and library are planned. D Block is planned as a single storey building including experimental medical research unit and department of anatomy. Medical Gas Building which serves to D Block is also planned.
Structural System of Kars Kafkas University, Kafkas University Rectorate, Morphology Building of Faculty of Medicine was planned as cast in place concrete. The project comprises A, B, C, D, Intermediate Connection Blocks and Medical Gas Building. Steel load bearing system was used in courtyard of B and D Blocks.
