Review and Revision of Policies, Regulations and Technical Standards of Termite Control in Jiangsu Province
Summary of the contract:
The objective of this assignment is to review and revise the provincial level policies, regulations and technical standards in termite control for facilitating elimination of chlordane and mirex and promoting IPM for termite control in Jiangsu. This will include: Drafting and submitting for issue a new circular on Prohibition of Use of Chlordane and Mirex in Termite Prevention and Control and Promotion of Implementation of Demonstration Project;
1. Revising or constituting the existing or new key provincial policies and regulations governing termite prevention and control, reflecting the transition of China termite control to IPM by incorporating experience and lessons generated in the Demonstration project. These policies and regulations include: (i) Provincial Management Measures on Termite Prevention and Control in Urban Housing; (ii) Provincial Institutional Management Regulation on Termite Prevention and Controls; (iii) Provincial Quality Control Manuals for Termite Prevention and Control for Housing; (iv) Provincial Construction Codes; (?) Provincial Technical Standards for Termite Prevention in New Buildings;
2. Survey and studying the cost and price of key chemicals and IPM technologies for termite control in the past and currently (including labor cost, material cost, management cost and inspection cost, taxes and profits, etc.). This will provide a basis for revising the pricing and budgeting system;
3. Review or revise the following documents related to pricing:
i. Provincial Circulars on Pricing of Termite Prevention and Control in the Construction Sector and,
ii. The Provincial Manuals on Budgeting in the Construction Sector
