Contract Description: Consultancy Services for Construction Supervision of Aposto-Wendo-Negele Road Upgrading Project,

Contract 3:Wadera-Negele Road

Scope of Contract: The objective of the consulting service is to conscientiously fulfill to the highest professional standards the role of the Engineer, as defined under the Works Contract (prepared in accordance with the World Bank Standard Bidding Document) and to supervise construction of the Works (on behalf of the Employer) throughout the entire construction period, including the defects liability (maintenance) period. The consultant is required:

i) to ensure that the road is constructed in accordance with the General and Particular Conditions of Contract, the Technical Specifications and Engineering Drawings or any amendments thereto;

ii) to optimize the use of available material resources to minimize costs to the Employer or to maximize the quality of the Works or to expedite construction; and

iii) to ensure that the road is constructed within the Contract Price and Time for Completion allowed under the Contract or any agreed amendments thereto.
