Description

Scope of Contract: The Government of Mongolia has entered into a grant agreement with the International Development Association (IDA), a member of the World Bank Group. Part of the grant will be applied toward the cost of “Herder Public Access Telecommunications Services”, under the Information and Communications Infrastructure Development Project (ICIDP). These services will be implemented under the Government’s Universal Access (UA) Strategy, whereby the Government will provide subsidies towards the capital costs associated with providing public access telephony services through private investment in certain unserved areas of Mongolia.

The providers to provide herder public access telecommunications services in a total of up to152 baghs in 76 soums (at list two baghs per soum) in 17 aimags of Mongolia.
