Kurze Beschreibung: The tasks will comprise the spectrum of activities of Pillar II and III. Pillar II: assessment support of newly developed climate risk insurance concepts:
1) Supervision and support in the development of first concept ideas, the implementation of pre-feasibility studies and the identification of tie-in options with the bilateral financial aid portfolio;
2) Support in assessing newly developed climate risk insurance concepts concerning their feasibility, probability for implementation and completeness;
3) Coordination with decision making bodies. Pillar III: selection of innovative climate insurance approaches: The expert will act as primarily point of contact and will be responsible for the activities under Pillar 3. The expert should as a minimum complete the following tasks:
1) Primarily responsible for the creation of a healthy pipeline of applications to ISF by actively promoting the ISF; this will require international traveling;
2) Check the appliance of eligibility criteria in submitted concept notes (applications);
3) Interact with applicants and provide technical/insurance feedback and guidance on submitted concept notes which can lead to improvement of such applications;
4) Interact with applicants and explain the rationale and expected information details required for the completion of the subsequent full proposal submission;
5) Complete the selection and evaluation of innovative climate insurance ap-proaches and prepare reports and presentations for the committees of ISF for decision making;
6) Continuously improve and refine the application process and documents required for ISF projects proposal submission.
Duration of the contract: 450 days
Description of renewals: A prolongation is possible, (maximum 2 years, dependent on the availability of funding).
