Scope of Work:

The work on North Lake Road includes removing erosion deposits from the roadway, cleaning ditches and culverts (including inlet/catch basin areas), re-establishing ditches, backfilling eroded downslope areas, and installing gabion baskets and/or mattresses where the fill slope has eroded away and is beginning to undercut the paved road.

The work on Rattlesnake Cove Road includes removing erosion deposits from the roadway, cleaning ditches and culverts, and backfilling eroded downslope areas, particularly around the culvert outlet.

The objective of this project is to restore the roadways to their original conditions, facilitate flow of water through culverts and ditches, prevent excessive water runoff in areas that will erode the downslope road embankments, stabilize fill slopes to mitigate the risk of future road washouts, and remove roadway debris to improve safety.
