Description

Description of the Project: UNICEF-KOICA MNCH project was a 9 million USD project, that was implemented in selected zones of Oromia and SNNP regions of Ethiopia from 2015-2018 to strengthen health systems and capacities to improve MNCH services. Along with baseline, ABH also designed and implemented the end line evaluation of this project. Using the OECD-DAC criteria, our team evaluated the project against pre-agreed indicators, documented challenges and lessons learned during project initiation, delivery stages and closure.

Description of Actual Services Provided: 

  • Designed both community-based and health institution based mixed methods for the evaluation.
  • Developed both qualitative and quantitative data collection tools and instruments.
  • Identified and recruited experienced researchers, trained them and deployed to the field.
  • Managed and monitored operation of data collection.
  • Provided all the necessary logistics and technical assistance needed to conduct the assessment.
  • Analysed data prepared and submitted overall report.
