INTEGRATED COASTAL ZONE MANAGEMENT AND CLEAN-UP PROJECT

The ICZMCP is implementing by the Project Coordination Unit (PCU) in the Ministry of Public Works and Transport. Specifically, the ICZMCP will support the investments, packaged in one package with two Lots, as follows:
Lot 1. Replacement of Navarica Transmission Main and Extension of Distribution Network in Tourist Area;
Lot 2. Construction of a Pressure Line from Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) to Cuka Channel and Rehabilitation of Sewer Lines within the Town
The Supervision Company will be responsible for supervising all Civil Works and administration of the Civil Works Contract. It will be required to nominate an engineer, representative for each lot of investments who will be resident on site. The Consultant Company should:
Ensure high standards of quality assurance in the execution of work and completion of work within stipulated time limit;
Comprehensive supervision of project implementation activities carried out by the Contractor(s) to ensure complete compliance with the design, environment and construction permits, drawings and technical specifications (quantities and quality) and various stipulations contained in the Contract Documents, as well as all applicable legal Albanian requirements and design standards and construction laws including special regulations;
Efficient construction supervision by professional personnel experienced in the best construction supervision and contract management practice;
Determine the execution of control procedures for assessing conformity with technical designs (i.e. proving the quality of certain parts of construction by an authorized person) and in accordance with the Construction Permit and special regulations or obligations as specified in the main design;
Record and inform the Investor (PCU) in a timely manner about all deficiencies or irregularities noticed during construction, and inform in writing the Client/investor about the measures taken;
