Evaluation of past support to Aral Sea Basin programmes in order to prepare adequate further support to regional cooperation on water management and environment in Central Asia

The global objective was to evaluate past support to the development and improvement of Aral Sea Basin programmes in order to ensure adequate support to regional cooperation in the Aral Sea Basin as well as an enhanced implementation of future cooperation programmes on environment and water in Central Asia. The specific objective of this assignment was to assist the Executive Committee of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea (EC-IFAS) in identifying priority interventions in the first three thematic directions mentioned above which have as yet to be implemented by providing an madditional evaluation of the implementation of both the Aral Sea Basin Programmes (ASBP) 1 and 2.
