Description
An alumni seminar was attended by 28 participants from 13 countries in Africa, Central Asia and Latin America, in order to evaluate the last five programs ( 2007/08-2011/12) and visits were made to the employers of the Cambodian participants.
To assess the change the training programs has had on participants, their employers and countries in terms of:
- The participants’ knowledge in the new dimension of a free market economy for the benefit of the farming community and global food security.
- How the participants’ have improved their managerial efficiency by increasing their knowledge in all technical elements of a seed industry
- How the participants has used their new´ knowledge about agro biotechnology-challenges, in solving problems and finding ways forward
- To assess how participants’ has found, used and drawn conclusions from sources of information and expertise related to food security and modern plant breeding and seed technology
- Followed up on the participants’ processes of change in their home environments within the above mentioned fields and how they have enhanced their project management and communication skills
