Description
PROJECT SUMMARY
INMUNOTEK, S.L. is a company working in the field of immunology and allergies, focused on developing, manufacturing and marketing allergen extracts for diagnosis and treatment, as well as other health products.
The research, development, innovation and production activities of this company pursue two lines of action: firstly, medicines, with the development and manufacture of anti-allergy vaccines, bacterial vaccines and extracts for diagnosis; and secondly, health products, by developing and manufacturing nasal and sinus irrigation products and procedures for reading allergy tests.
As a vaccine manufacturer, INMUNOTEK focuses on developing allergen extracts. These extracts are processed to produce injectable preparations and vaccines for sublingual immunotherapy, and to produce extracts for the diagnosis of allergies. Both the therapeutic and the diagnostic extracts are medicines for human and veterinary use, so its activity is regulated by the legislation applicable to drug manufacturers enforced by the Spanish Drug and Health Products Agency (AGEMED-PS).

PROJECT OUTLINE
- It is a detached building with three floors above ground and a basement. The building is composed of simple geometric shapes, whose spaces are linked by courtyards, allowing natural light and ventilation in all the habitable areas. Translucent, rectangular forms were used so that the building could be reconfigured if necessary in the future.
- The laboratory area is separate from the rest of the building, away from the general access and administrative areas.
- Due to the building’s specifications and for practical reasons, most of the work takes place on the ground floor, where the manufacturing process for therapeutic vaccines has been developed.
- The ground floor houses the main entrance hall, the general warehouse, the raw materials laboratory, the manufacturing laboratory, the clean room and the preparation area, as well as the utility areas (toilets, changing areas, etc.). The various laboratories are linked by a distribution loop that follows the manufacturing path and gives an overall vision of the process.
- The quality control and R&D laboratories are on the first floor with the administrative section, offices and cafeteria, with access to the outside terrace. On the second floor are the management offices, a meeting room and the boardroom, which can seat up to 50 people.
