Description

The overall objective of the project is to improve solid waste management (SWM) in the Turkish Cypriot community (TCC) in compliance with the requirements of the acquis communautaire. More specifically the Project is oriented to define a sustainable Solid Waste Management Master Plan for the Turkish Cypriot Community and determination of the conditions for the implementation of organisational strengthening, awareness building and infrastructure projects in the solid waste sector. The Master Plan is destined to give precise information about the actual SWM situation in TCC and to identify and evaluate different approaches for a socially, economically and ecologically sustainable solid waste management.
