Establishing New Monitoring Indicators in the Area of Strategic Planning and Policy Analysis and Coordination of the Realization of the Annual Work Program of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia

Client: GOFRE Project – Capacity Building of Administration for EU Integration.

PointPro Consulting has been engaged to conduct analysis and propose new monitoring indicators in the Area of Strategic Planning and Policy Analysis and Coordination of the Realization of the Annual Work Program of the Government of the Republic of Macedonia.

For monitoring and assessment of the realization rate of current strategic priorities, objectives and policies, the General Secretariat of the Government of R.M. has defined a certain number of monitoring indicators within the defined frames of the PSMAL project arrangement of the World Bank. The existing indicators have been used be the General Secretariat since 2004.

The analysis within the study conducted by PointPro Consulting has the following goals and objectives:

• Overview and analysis of the strategic planning processes according to the Budget cycle and preparation of the Annual Work Program of the Government.

• Analysis of the number, compatibility and range of the existing monitoring indicators for strategic planning and analysis and coordination of the policies.

• Identification, definition and proposition of new, modified and upgraded monitoring indicators.

• Draw conclusions and define recommendations for their further implementation.
