Non-State Actors (NSA) in Development - In-country Actions - Milk processing plus social partnerships in Issyk-Kul region-chances for a better life (MILK PLUS)

The global objective of this programme is poverty reduction in the context of sustainable development, including the pursuit of the Millennium Development Goals (MDG) and other internationally agreed targets. It is an “actor-oriented” programme aimed at strengthening the capacity of civil society organisations and local communities through support to their "own initiatives". 

The specific objectives of this Call for proposals are actions by Non-State Actors to support poverty reduction and promoting sustainable social and economic development, based on initiatives of local communities, to reinforce the development capacities of local communities and facilitate their participation in poverty reduction through the following priorities: 

Actions improving quality and standard of living, addressing their basic needs and access to social services;

Actions increasing income generating opportunities through stimulation of local initiatives and rural activities; The action must address at least to one of the above-mentioned priorities. Particular attention will be paid to actions providing innovative approaches or delivery methods in difficult/ out-of-reach environments.
