Tanzania Country Environment Study

The objectives of this consultancy are:
• To review the country’s environmental trends, resulting in the production of a ‘State of Environment’ report.
• To provide inputs for the development of the national capacity building programme on environment.

The consultancy will also provide an assessment of the sector, in the view of the development of the EMA and MKUKUTA; identification of needs, and recommendations on how to meet these needs; informing the strategic considerations; and programming of development partners in cooperation with URT.

- Main report describing the current state of the environment
- Description of the physical environment, biological conditions, socio-economic, socio-cultural conditions.
- Description of policy and legal framework, institutional as well as the involvement of NGOs, civil society and private sector in environmental issues.
- Development of Partner modalities informing on what kind of architecture future support to the sector could take.
