Description:
The Contractor shall provide technical support with respect to maintenance, repair and overhaul on various UNOPS vehicles in Mogadishu Somalia. This will include developing in-depth service plans for UNOPS soft skin and armoured vehicles. The service plan for each vehicle shall be submitted in hardcopy and email, to the concerned UNOPS fleet manager. The services will be provided at the workshop located in Mogadishu, within the MIA.
Spare Parts: The Contractor shall be responsible for the acquisition of spare parts and consumables required for repairing and services. This will ensure the shortest lead-time and that the contractor takes full responsibility for sourcing the correct and genuine spare parts. Identification of correct spare parts and part numbers will be assured by using computerized spare part programmes where applicable and available from OEM’s The contractor will only use genuine spare parts directly obtained from the OEM or authorized dealers. Under no circumstances shall the contractor work with second handed or not certified overhauled spare parts.
Maintenance Schedules :
The basis for maintenance schedules and methods derives from the average mileage of the vehicles or every 3 rd Month, whichever comes first. In scheduled services, labour and services parts are included.
Any vehicle requiring maintenance will undergo a detailed technical inspection servicing, in order to identify any other faults and requirements. Upon completion of the service intervention, there will be a quality control inspection prior to release, including a road test and covering the following systems where relevant.
● Wheels and tyres
● Steering linkage components
● U-joints and driveline
● Instrumentation
● Exhaust system
● All lights, including clearance lights
● Windshield, windows, mirrors and wipers
●Brake systems – parking and service
●Structural condition and body work integrity
●Other safety hazards for the vehicle and/or driver
●Starting and charging system
●Hoses and belts
●Suspension systems
Anti-rust treatment service
Features and minimum technical requirements
The contractor should clean the vehicle for any dusts before Anti-rust treatment service is in
place
The contractor should put the vehicle on the lift ramp and lift it up to access the chassis
The anti-rust treatment should be done in a professional way
The wheels should be removed from vehicle at the time of the service
Clean the vehicle thoroughly and scrap off any already accumulated corrosion
Spray the entire chassis with the word anti rust material and give it some time to settle
Fit back the wheels & clean the vehicle ready for collection.
The contractor is liable for any physical damage to the vehicles during the services.
