Description

The global objective of this mission was to improve Border Management in Central Asia, in particular in northern Afghanistan.

The EU has supported the "Border Management Badakhshan Afghanistan (BOMBAF)" project implemented by UNDP Tajikistan since 2007.

The specific objective of this assignment was to provide an assessment of EU past and current Border Management support programmes, to identify needs of the sector and to draft recommendations to address identified needs.

The experts were responsible for producing the following outputs:

- An Inception Report; 

- A draft Final Report;

- A comprehensive Final Report;

- Electronic copies of the data sets collected.
