Description

Description: Development of the Radionuclide Expert Technical Analysis Suite Using Isotopic Ratio Analysis, on a Call-Off Basis
The scope of work defined under these Terms of Reference includes five (5) functionalities which are:
• Defining a fission event for the isotopic ratio analysis based on abnormal detections of CTBT relevant radionuclides at IMS stations
• Associating multiple samples to the same fission event using a decay curve of isotopic ratios
• Characterizing the source type of the fission event using the isotopic ratio analysis
• Estimating the time zero of the fission event using the isotopic ratio analysis
• Creating inputs to refine ATM postprocessing
The implementation should be written in Python. As much as possible, the developed software modules should be integrated with existing software, specifically Web-Grape, future XeBET (under development), Data fusion tool, Simpax Prototype and RNToolkit.
The Contractor will be required to perform case studies testing and verifying the developed methods and software. This will be requested for all work areas functionalities as appropriate. Below are relevant types of observations at IMS radionuclide stations and for the last item also by transportable noble gas systems:
• Announced DPRK nuclear testing
• Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant accidents
• Detections of CTBT relevant radionuclides
• Observations related to IDC products, e.g., SSREBs
• Observations related to radioxenon/particulate background
The Contractor shall submit their offer for all modules as one complete package of the project.
