Description

ELETRONORTE is a subsidiary of the Brazilian power utility Eletrobrás. It is responsible for the power generation, transmission and distribution in the states of Amazonas, Pará, Acre, Rondônia, Roraima, Amapá, Tocantins and Mato Grosso. Tractebel Engineering was involved in the implementation and expansion of several of the company’s electrical transmission systems in the Acre and Rondônia states, comprising substations and transmission lines of 230, 138 and 69 kV respectively.

We were responsible for:

Civil, electromechanical, electrical and telecommunication studies and design Inspection and supervision of platform and factory tests Site construction supervision.

Tractebel Engineering guaranteed strict adherence to the time schedule during all the phases of the project. We maintained good relations and cooperation with the client, managing to design six substations in less than a year. Moreover, we overcame all the logistic challenges posed by a project in the Amazonian area.
