Tractebel Engineering was the Owner’s Engineer for the realization of a natural gas-fired, combined cycle heat and power plant in Bowin, 150 km to the south-east of Bangkok. As this plant (720 MW) is equipped with low-emission combustion technology, its impact on the environment is strongly reduced.
The produced electricity is used by EGAT (the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand) to meet public demand.
Tractebel Engineering was responsible for:
The review of all the documents provided by the contractors.
The surveillance of all the inspections and testing, including the performance tests.
The surveillance of all the on-site activities during construction.
Offering assistance during start-up of operations.
Securing compliance with the time schedule.
Guaranteeing a proper contract execution.
Tractebel Engineering coordinated the relationship between the client and the contractors and delivered the project on time, and according to the contractual stipulations.
