Description: NWSS Wastewater Testing for SARS-CoV-2 

The purpose of this project is to provide commercial wastewater testing services to communities that want to participate in NWSS but do not have access to testing. This 11-month contract will provide critical SARS- CoV-2 concentration and sequence data to CDC to support ongoing COVID response efforts at the national, state, and local levels. Priority wastewater treatment plants will be identified by CDC and provided to the contractor for enrollment. If necessary, additional facilities will be recruited by the contractor in coordination with CDC staff. The contractor will provide twice weekly quantitative wastewater SARS-CoV-2 testing for up to 500 sites and sequence data for the samples that meet pre-determined inclusion criteria for sequencing
