Objective: Within this project new, modern, effective and reliable mobile customs control equipment is planned to be purchased for mobile units which will perform customs controls using special technologies within the whole territory of Slovak Republic. The project is divided into 3 work packages; each work package represents one station of customs office located in the regions of Western, Middle and Eastern Slovakia. Work package 1 consists of equipment intended for special technology mobile units which will operate in the region of Western Slovakia and proposed is the location of the equipment at Station of the Customs Office Bratislava (SCÚ Bratislava centrála). Respectively work package 2 is equipment intended for the region of Middle Slovakia and will be located at the Station of the Customs Office Banská Bystrica (SCÚ Banská Bystrica centrála) and work package 3 is equipment for the region of Eastern Slovakia and will be located at Station of the Customs Ofice Prešov (SCÚ Prešov centrála). Together the SFA plannes to purchase following equipment: - High-energy mobile X-ray inspection system, 2 pcs - Low-energy mobile X-ray van (baggage scanner), 1 pc - Handheld X-ray Backscatter Scaner, 4 pcs - Spectrometer Raman, 12 pcs - Spectrometer XRF, 12 pcs - Smartphone with an endoscope, 30 pcs List of equipment included in the work packages was selected based on analysis of actual state of special equipment for customs control in Slovakia, identified biggest existing gaps in availability of customs controls equipment and in performance of customs controls with the aim to better cover the whole territory of Slovakia and reach more harmonized level of controls.
