Project Background:

Objectives:

The overall objective of the project was to prepare Croatia to fulfill the requirements of European Union membership and in particular adherence to the acquis communautaire in the railway sector.

Activities:

  •   Drafting of implementation procedures for the Regulatory Body
  •   Organisation and implementation of several workshops on relevant EU directives, non-discriminatory regulation (infrastructure, operations, operating companies), and fair competition in the rail sector
  •   Organisation and implementation of study tours on EU best practice in rail sector regulation
  •   On-the-job training for counterpart staff.
