Development Project Assessment Consultancy Services

Challenge Energy & PPA Energy were jointly commissioned to undertake a study into the potential for a power sector developer in Africa, recognising both fuel supply and power sector requirements. The work was centred on a prospective project which the developer had identified following in-country discussions.  Details of the assignment are confidential, but the work involved an assessment of the potential level of demand and opportunity for the export of power to neighbouring countries. The work was undertaken as a desk study, and drew upon the consultants' knowledge of the region and a review of existing consultancy reports.

Description of Services Provided:

The work was divided between PPA Energy & Challenge, with PPA Energy undertaking much of the analysis into the potential electricity demand and potential for export of power to neighbouring countries, and Challenge Energy the fuel supply issues.
