Description

Client: Office of Prime Minister of Guyana.

The Government of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana introduced the Electricity Supply Reform Act in 1999. This created (in Section 69 of the Act) a need for new Regulations on various technical, energy and efficiency matters, whilst temporarily saving the repealed Electricity Acts Electrical Installations and Supply Regulations until their replacement.

Description of Services Provided:

PPA was contracted to advise on the development of Regulations to support the objectives of Section 69 of the Electricity Supply Reform Act (including replacement of the Electrical installations and Supply Standards) as well as to develop fuller advice on the Target and Performance Standards for Suppliers, and a Code or Manual to support the Electrical Inspectors Department.
