CONTEXT:
Al Amana is one of the leader MFI in Morocco with the biggest portfolio of € 36,5 million and 160 000 borrowers (in solidarity groups). Al Amana was created in 1997 with the technical assistance of the American NGO VITA and the financial support of the USAID and the Moroccan government, and is present on almost all the Moroccan territory.
OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT:
The project aims at
- The analysis of the current credit process: product line and client management (loan management method, instalment receipt, file follow-up); branch organisation and areas of action; organisation of the information system (file reception, client identifier management, file management, data organisation and updating, system analysis); solidarity group lending acceptance process (setting up of solidarity groups, admissibility of files, file management according to amounts, acceptance of files, analysis criteria); individual loans acceptance process; housing loans acceptance process; decision process and authorization levels; management of late files.
- Identifying the process strengths and weaknesses: client management, resources management, risk management.
PLANET FINANCE'S TASKS IN THE PROJECT:
The methodology used for this study is as follows:
1. Presentation of processes for the whole client management cycle for all products (acceptance, management, recovery),
2. Process analysis : clients management, expertise levels, decision making tools, risk management,
3. Recommendations and proposing plans of action Al Amana has obviously integrated some of our recommendations.
