The Rhein-Hunsrück District Administration is operating a landfill at Kirchberg. In 2002, the older part of the landfill was completely filled up and a surface sealing according to German norms was constructed. The surface area covers about 3 ha and the final surface sealing is composed of:
    •        Drainage layer for gas.
    •        Bedding for sealing layer.
    •        Sealing layer of Trisoplast.
    •        Plastic liner.
    •        Drainage layer for surface water.
    •        Restoration layer.

Detailed design and tender documents, EIA, supervision of construction, project management and experts opinions on geology and hydrogeology for:
    •        Surface sealing.
    •        Surface drainage collection and disposal.
    •        Degasing and utilisation of gas originating from the sanitary landfill.
