Description of Services: Diagnosis of the National Solid Waste Management Authority (NSWMA) and Preparation of Detailed Institutional Strengthening Plans for the NSWMA
The consulting services (“the Services”) include
- Phase 1: Conduct a Diagnosis of the National Solid Waste Management Authority of Jamaica (NSWMA); and
- Phase 2: Prepare Detailed Institutional Strengthening/Transformation Plans for the NSWMA
- Review the current legislative framework to determine if any amendments are required to the principal Act to encompass the new policy direction.
- Assess the current and still to be developed regulations to determine those that may need to be amended and those that will need to be enacted as a priority to enable the NSWMA to function in accordance with the new policy direction
- Proposed a structure for NSWMA to function as executor of the Integrated Solid Waste Management (ISWM) PPP.
