Purpose: Through this cooperation, we will develop and introduce a scalable National Forest Fire Information System (NFFIS) that is effective against forest fires and other disasters, and the Eco-DRR (Eco-DRR), which utilizes the diverse functions of forests. ), we are promoting capacity building of government officials in disaster prevention and mitigation of forest fires and other natural disasters. In particular, since forest fires are an issue that transcends national boundaries, the government of Bosnia and Herzegovina has requested support for similar cooperation based on cooperation in the Balkan region. In response to this request, JICA will discuss and reach an agreement on the cooperation framework with the implementing agency, etc., and will conduct a detailed planning study with the aim of collecting and organizing the relevant information necessary for implementing full-scale cooperation.
