Information and Communication Programme

The purpose of the contract is to increase the level of information and public awareness about the EuropeanUnion, its policies and programmes and their impact on citizens' daily lives; the process of integration of theformer Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia into the European Union as well as about the European Union's role inthe former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (including the objectives and results of the EU's financial assistanceprogrammes).
The contract will include various information and communication activities with the aim of building publicsupport for the accession process based on well-informed and realistic expectations, such as: creation andimplementation of strategies and information campaigns, running of the EU Information Centre in Skopjeand coordination of the EU information network in the country, event and visit management, press andmedia relations (including media monitoring), web page development and update, networking, production ofpublications and promotional materials, update of databases, research issues and other necessary activities inthe information and communication domain.
