Objective:
“TestArt - Testing new skills for the circulation of innovative co-creation methods in the performing Arts sector” wants to build and test new capacities for European grass-roots and micro-organisations to work internationally in the cultural and creative sectors. Furthermore, the project seeks at fostering the transnational creation of performing-art works by organizing a permanent European network for their circulation. To reach its objectives, TestArt involves a multi-level consortium composed by 15 partners’ organisations coming from 5 different EU countries (i.e. Italy, Germany, Serbia, Slovenia and Sweden) that will work together during 3 years of project implementation. Firstly, partners will map common needs and visions and they will create transnational creative groups to investigate the most ideal fits to give further rise to joint artistic creations. During this phase, partners will also find inspiration by exploring on the field some European best practises of grass-roots and micro-organisations having built their international dimension. Then, the transnational creative groups will start their co-production works through a programme of artistic residencies hosted in several partners’ countries and they will be constantly mentored in the process. Finally, the European network of the co-producing partners will host the performances and they will implement the joint European tour for the circulation of the artistic works co-produced at transnational level. By reaching its objectives, TestArt will create a transnational creative community able to build capacities, give rise to artistic creations, help the circulation and dissemination of artists and works and increase people participation in cultural activities. Furthermore, TestArt will give not only the opportunity to produce European artistic works and to disseminate them to a wide audience, but also to transfer those innovative business models developed by its forerunner project “TrainArt”.
