Technical Assistance for Implementing the Small Islands Developing States Mauritius Strategy in the ESA-IO region

The overall objective of the programme of which this contract will be a part is to contribute to an increased level of social, economic and environmental development and deeper regional integration in the ESA-IO region through the sustainable development of the small island developing states. The specific objective is to accelerate the implementation of the Mauritius Strategy in the ESA-IO region through a regional programme.
The purpose of this contract is the provision of long-term technical assistance composed of:
— 1 sustainable development specialist, and
— 1 economist, including a pool of short-term expertise for a total duration not exceeding 31 months to assist the IOC in the implementation of phase 1 of the programme.
