ITB for Restoration of the House of Birth of Alexander Moisiu / Ethnographic Museum in Durres, Albania

Description: All the required implementation activities to ensure the correct and proper works are carried out for the Restoration of the House of Birth of Alexander Moisiu (Former Ethnographic Museum) Durres , Albania. The scope of restoration/rehabilitation works is as follows:

• Test pits, removal and documentation of all authentic materials and forms
• Exterior, interior and roof preservation works;
• Restoration/ conservation of existing masonry: façade cleaning, mortar repointing, - Injections into the cracked parts of the existing walls and grouting with lime mortar according to the traditional technique.
• Dismantling of plasters, their mechanical cleaning with hand tools and soft brushes in a careful manner and the complete exposure of the frames of the windows and doors of the building
• Restoration of the current windows respecting the original material and model
• Reinforcement and consolidation of the dwelling with the same materials and construction of the demolished parts as the existing ones;
• Reconstruction of certain parts of the museum with original materials, depending on the degree of damage and in a few cases replacement of damaged architectural elements;
