Objective:

DON’T LET ME GO MAD is a feature fiction film project by writer and director Alexa Karolinski. Codeveloped jointly by TELOS PICTURES (Germany) GAÏJIN (France) and HERETIC (Greece), it is the director's first feature-length work of fiction. The present project draws inspiration from the life of German artist Charlotte Salomon. The film focuses on the last year of her life in which she created her major work LEBEN ? ODER THEATER ? .. (LIFE ? OR THEATER ? ..), consisting of approximately 800 paintings. A deeply personal work about her life, the abuses she and the women in her family suffered, and her forced exile to the South of France. The activities and objectives of the project are to further develop and finalize the script and position it on the international market by promoting it with a teaser and promotional leaflet, in order to close the financing and prepare for the shooting - choose locations and costumes, close the cast and creative team, clear the music rights, and finalize all the legal agreements. The project is conceived as international co-production of three countries including Germany, France and Greece. The project aims to reach a slot in one of the A-Class festivals for the Premiere as well as reaching a wider audience in cinemas, being sold across many territories
