Objective :

"Name of the project: URSA The Polar Bear Co-development of animated series for pre-school children between 2 companies: UpNorth (Norway) and Helium Film (Czech Republic). Having had the opportunity to meet several times at various European events - pitching and film markets or festivals to see each other's work, we were immediately intrigued by each other's projects and audiovisual point of view. We were attracted by the combination of Nordic nature and a more poetic view of the world, with the Czech tradition in animation and Central European aesthetics. We decided to seize the opportunity when Natalia M. Bratli, an experienced director and animator, came up with an idea for an animated series for children, which we both found to be an ideal opportunity to start a collaboration between our two companies. We believe that this is just the beginning of our journey together. ""URSA - the Polar Bear"" is a universe based on the international award-winning short film ""Ursa - the Song of the Northern Lights"". In a wild, visual, fascinating, harsh and vulnerable environment, where only the hardiest animals can survive, we've set this heartwarming series about friendship and climate. It is a 2D animation from the North that brings calmness, curiosity, playfulness, but most importantly humility and modesty."
