Objective:
The overall purpose of the Eurostat/OECD Purchasing Power Parities (PPP) programme is to provide users with high quality PPPs and related economic indicators. The action aims at ensuring the provision of high quality and comparable input data for the purpose of calculating PPPs. PPPs are used to generate the price and volume indices needed for economic research and policy analysis that involves inter-country comparisons of GDP and GDP expenditures. PPPs are also used to determine the eligibility of EU regions for the Structural Funds.To achieve this aim, the Statistics Denmark will fulfil the specific tasks under Objectives A - F. Additional task G1, G4 and G6 under Objective G are also included.
