Description

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Solar Photovoltaic Consultant Assignment is part of Mozambique's ProEnergia+ Program, focusing on rural electrification through off-grid and stand- alone photovoltaic (PV) systems for 60 public facilities, including schools and health centers, in underserved areas. The project involves conducting energy and broadband demand assessments, designing solar PV systems and connectivity solutions, preparing technical specifications and procurement documents, and supervising installation to ensure compliance with international standards. It also includes establishing a remote monitoring platform for system performance tracking and developing a sustainable operations and maintenance (O&M) strategy. By enhancing access to reliable off-grid energy and internet, the project aims to improve healthcare and education services, advance rural development, and support Mozambique’s goal of universal electricity access by 2030.
