PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The Programme’s purpose was to develop the capacity of Ethiopia’s public and non-state sectors in trade policy formulation, analysis of trade issues, EPA negotiations, WTO accession and implementation of the regional economic integration agenda, confronting the major challenges of:
• Increasing the capacity of the Government, the Ethiopian Chambers of Commerce and Sector Association to cope with the growing set of trade policy issues and negotiations,
• Reviewing/completing the organisational set-up and the competence structure within Government, and
• Strengthening capacities in trade and trade related areas in both the public and the non-state sectors (business support organisations and sectorial associations)
