PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project activities conformed to three components:
• Institutional strengthening and assistance for a change management process aiming at organisational reform.
• Capacity building in the improvement of quality control procedures (SPS measures), surveillance-certification in the food chain, and upgrade of technical capacities of SENASA’s human resources.
• Implementation of a complete modernization of the existing IT infrastructure and systems to secure and improve the institution’s strategy of regionalisation. The aim of all these activities was to improve the trade and export capabilities of the private sector in Argentina, especially concerning the agrifood sector
