Description: Construction of 2 Blocks of Market Lock-up Shops at Gwoza Market, Gwoza (Lot 1)

The scope of this project LOT 1 is the construction of 2 Blocks of 20 Units Lockup Shops (a total is 40 Units of Market Lockup Shops)

The project scope covers:

Demolition, Clearing, and leveling of the Gwoza Market construction site.
The construction of 2 Blocks (40 units) of market lockup shops dedicated to promoting economic development and resilience within the Gwoza community by fostering a conducive environment for businesses in the Gwoza market, Gwoza L.G.A of Borno State.

Main Activities:

1. Demolition of existing old structures, Clearance, and Levelling of about 3000 square meter area:
2. Clear the site of all obstructions, including trees, vegetation, debris, and any existing structures that need removal as directed by the UNDP Supervising Engineer;
3. level the site to meet the required elevation and contour for the planned market development.
4. ensure the removal and proper disposal of all cleared materials.

Market Lockup Shops (2 Blocks of 40 Units):

1. Site preparation and clearing for foundation work.
2. Site survey and setting out as per the approved architectural and engineering plans.
3. Mobilization of construction equipment and personnel to the site.
4. Excavation, layout, and construction of concrete footings.
5. Installation of reinforced concrete columns footing as per design specifications.
6. Erection of reinforced concrete columns to support the structure.
7. Construction of a dwarf wall to provide structural stability.
8. Construction of reinforced concrete roof beams and installation of roof trusses to support the roofing system.
9. Installation of roof sheets as per BOQ-approved materials.
10. plaster to walls and columns for a smooth and finished appearance.
11. Electrical installation including wiring and appliances.
12. Application of paint to the interior and exterior surfaces.
