Description of Contract: Uplands Rural Development Project has been implemented by the Republic of Türkiye, Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry since 2018 with the technical support of the United Nations Development Programme Türkiye Country Office. The project is implemented with the financial agreement signed between the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the Republic of Türkiye. In the first phase, the Program will be implemented in six provinces and two regions, namely Eastern Mediterranean (Adana, Mersin, Osmaniye) and Western Black Sea (Bartin, Kastamonu, and Sinop), covering 35 districts and targeting 30,000 households. In the second phase, the program will assess the feasibility of including two more provinces: Kahramanmaras (Eastern Mediterranean) and Çankiri (Western Black Sea), reaching a total of 30,000 more households. The program is implemented by the General Directorate of Agricultural Reform (GDAR) under the Republic of Türkiye - Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and the Central Program Management Unit is settled within this unit and the regional program coordination units (RPMUs) are located in Adana and Kastamonu and there is a provincial support team in each of the initial six provinces, all of which are under the Provincial Directorates of Agriculture and Forestry. In line with the project's targets, a total of 500 demountable tent barns/sheep pens with an area of at least 105 m2 (at least 7 meters wide, at least 15 meters long, at least 390 cm and at most 400 cm high) shall be supplied and installed on site within the scope of this particular procurement activity. Tents and barns will be established in the villages/neighbourhoods of the provinces of Kahramanmaras (422), Osmaniye (49), and Adana (29) which are three of the provinces that were affected by the earthquake hitting the Southeastern Region of Türkiye in early February 2023.
