Description

Programme(s): Erasmus+ (ERASMUS+)
Topic: ERASMUS-SPORT-2024-SNCESE
Type of action: ERASMUS Lump Sum Grants
Project ID: 101184510

Objective: "Around 100 million people in the European Union live with a disability. Promoting sports activity among this demographic fosters their physical and mental well-being and contributes to creating a more inclusive and equitable society where everyone can engage in sports regardless of abilities. The IDEAL Sport4All project focuses on sports activities designed to break down physical and cognitive barriers. It aims to create SPORT4ALL, a series of events where athletes with disabilities compete in diverse disciplines, reflecting cultural insights and innovative approaches to inclusivity in sports from each partner country. These events showcase each country's contributions to fostering an inclusive sports environment, emphasizing shared learning and cultural exchange. In addition to sports competitions, IDEAL Sport4All offers an educational program to share good practices about sports and disability, enhancing sports instructors' education. Seminars and workshops aim to raise awareness in the general public about disability, promoting social inclusion and acceptance of diversity. The ""Information Citadel"" at the SPORT4ALL events provides a dedicated meeting space for accessing information, sources, and services for people with disabilities, promoting accessibility and empowerment. IDEAL Sport4All serves as a catalyst for inclusion, social change, and celebrating human abilities in sports, culture, and community. It reflects each partner association's ongoing commitment to a more inclusive world through sports."
