Objective

The MIND project is based on a very deep assessment of the current situation in Ukrainian VET ecosystem, taking into account the local context affected by the physical and emotional disruption of the acts of war and aggression. MIND has been co-designed with the proactive engagement and participation of the Ukrainian partners that provided intelligence, factual situation and features of the reality on the ground. The project design hence has been coordinated and co-planned with the local partners to ensure smooth implementation of the activities, also taking into sound consideration the digital dimension of the MIND project that will make great use of digital technologies to coordinate and implement the activities. General Objective: The above describes the hefty challenge ahead for Ukraine: the need for a robust VET ecosystem for the reconstruction of the country is exacerbated by a distressed population. In this context, our project wishes to promote innovative “Mental health solutions for educational Inclusion in Distressed Ukrainian VET” (MIND) with the General Objective of promoting a resilient and responsive VET system in Ukraine by building and reinforcing the capacity of Ukrainian VET operators / teachers / trainers / coaches / admin staff to understand, anticipate and manage situations of distress and discomfort among learners due to the psychological impact of the war. The ultimate objective is to contribute to the efficiency and resilience of the Ukrainian VET ecosystem by empowering VET operators to build safe learning environments for distressed cohorts of learners and trainees. Capacity building is at the core of the MIND project. MIND’s capacity building programme will be implemented through processes of co-creation of: internal strategies for the Ukrainian VET partners; development and delivery of training and operational tools across psychological and mental health support to create a safe and conducive training environment for learners;,etc.
