Objective: "The ""Teacher Academy for Plurilingual preschools. A path towards equal opportunities"" (TAPPEO) aims to foster plurilingualism in young learners by equipping educators with advanced knowledge and innovative teaching practices such as CLIL, immersive language experiences, and culturally responsive teaching. The project leverages digital and AI tools to enhance the linguistic capacity and cognitive development of young learners. Both in-service and pre-service teachers will collaborate, forming a community of practice that promotes expertise sharing and a sense of belonging. The project focuses on creating engaging and effective educational materials that support linguistic diversity and cognitive development, with a special emphasis on inclusion for migrant learners and those with different mother tongues than the language of schooling. The project's deliverables, designed to be widely disseminated and openly accessible to the educational community, encompass a variety of resources. These include literature reviews and findings from action research, which offer practical solutions for diverse classrooms across countries. These solutions are developed through teacher-led action research during the pilot stages. Additional materials comprise training workshop documents, teacher handbooks, and videos featuring real-life examples. There are also guides on utilising AI tools to create personalised learning experiences tailored to the linguistic backgrounds of young learners, multilingual digital educational content, and an online community of teachers. This community will serve as a platform for sharing resources, best practices, and experiences, thereby fostering a collaborative learning environment built on trust. Moreover, the project is structured to ensure sustainability through publications of the main findings in academic journals and conferences, and mostly via continuous engagement within the online community, promoting lasting impact in educational practices."
